Techweek Detroit, the entertainment festival devoted to tech, made its first appearance in the Motor City this week! Held at the Federal Reserve Building at 160 W Fort St, this weeklong event kicked off Monday on the beautiful patio at Fountain Bistro. As a media partner of Techweek Detroit, we’re pumped to tell you what’s in store for the rest of the week.
So far we’ve seen guided tours through the Madison Block and informal networking events, but the big, exciting events begin tomorrow. Here are some Techweek events we’re really looking forward to:
Summit Stage
Hear from over 50+ thought leaders from 100+ top tech companies at Techweek’s two-day Summit. Featured speakers include billionaire Dan Gilbert, venture capitalist Josh Linkner, and Representative Gary Peters. Panel discussions and talks span the auto, urban planning, development, fashion, and media industries. For the full schedule, see our agenda.

Come to the expo and see 35+ startup teams from different industries show off their products and apps. (Shameless plug: we’ll be participating, so come say hi!) After perusing the tables, the undercover judges will announce 5 finalists that will take the stage at 5pm and give a five-minute pitch for a chance at over $40,000 in cash and prizes.
Food Truck Rally
After a long day at the Federal Reserve
Building, head to Campus Martius to sample selections from some of Detroit’s best food trucks. While the official line-up hasn’t been announced, we’re hoping to see appearances from local favorites Mac Shack and Beignets 2 Go.
Fashion Tech Runway Show
Cap off the week with Techweek Detroit’s inaugural celebration of fashion and tech. Models dressed in clothes from local boutiques will strut the runway to show off local fashions.
