Lyndsay Stiff speaks many different languages. Not only is she fluent in Russian and Japanese, but she also speaks the language of human relations, the law, and business development. Even though her working title is Legal/HR/Business Development, it really should be the international Blockhead.
Growing up in Riverview, Michigan, Lyndsay didn’t have that many interactions with Russian speakers. When she met her Russian figure skating coach and her coach's husband, she was inspired to not only learn Russian but to study Russian culture throughout her college career. Her thirst for languages was unquenched, so she decided to learn Japanese as well. While in college and law school, Lyndsay studied in Russia, Japan (twice), and China, and she loved every minute of it.
After Lyndsay graduated from Michigan State University with dual BAs in Russian and Japanese, she received her law degree (JD) and two MAs (Russian Studies and Japanese Studies) from the University of Michigan. After passing the bar, she joined Message Blocks to become the official legal Blockhead. However, this job has allowed Lyndsay to do what she does best--learn different languages. While working for Message Blocks, she has learned the languages of business development, human resources, and even a little bit of computer programming. She is well versed with all of these topics, which is why we at Message Blocks love Lyndsay Stiff.
When she’s not working, she’s either spending time in the dojang practicing Tae Kwon Do or in the ballroom practicing the tango. Her latest project is convincing the team that she can kick a block off of everyone’s head.
